Saint John, New Brunswick

The entire highway between Quebec City and New Brunswick runs along the St. Lawrence Seaway.  Sometimes you can't see it, but it is always within about six blocks.

The bridge and this display is the crossover to New Brunswick Province from Quebec Province
Nova Scotia.  The river is pushing out to the ocean  At high tide the water from the ocean pushes back by 24 feet into the bay forcing back the water of the river.

The above is the welcoming sign to the viewing area of the Reversing Falls at the Bay of Fundy

The following pictures show the park above the viewing area at Reversing Falls

Below is Market Place in downtown Saint John's
It includes sourvenir shop, usual shopping center content and fresh food market

This shopping spot includes footbridges inside since weather is unpredicable

We continue along St Lawrence Seaway

This is the start of Aradia - French settlement

The above honors those who died because the British forced the French from the area.

Henry Wordworth Longfellow penned Evangeline telling the story of the struggle

Some Acadians forcibly removed from Nova Scotia moved to Louisiana where they are known as Cajuns.
Most of the name changed with an added "x" at the end of the name.  This is because the authorities wrote the name and required the newcomer to sign.  Most did not know how to write so they signed with an "x"
